Q. How do I control Tello?
You can control Tello directly using the Tello app, or you can use a compatible Bluetooth remote controller connected to the Tello app.
Q. What fun things can Tello do while flying?
A. Tello can perform eight different flips (tricks) while flying, and can fly up and down from the palm of your hand in Bounce Mode, and automatically shoot short videos with EZ Shot.
Q. Can I fly Tello indoors?
A. Yes, Tello is safe to fly indoors. Tello can also be flown outdoors, but flying in windy conditions is not recommended.
Q. Is Tello waterproof?
A. No.

Q. What camera features does Tello have?
A. Tello's camera can take photos and videos, and EZ Shot lets you record short videos while flying in three different flight patterns.
Q. Where are the photos and videos I take stored and how can I export them?
A. Photos and videos are stored on your phone and can be exported from your phone if needed.
Q. Do I need to insert an SD card to store photos and videos?
A. No.
Q. What is Tello's flight distance?
A. The maximum flight distance is approximately 100m (depending on the usage environment).

Q. How do I charge Tello's battery?
A. The battery installed in the aircraft can be charged via the Micro USB port, and the Battery Charging Hub can charge three batteries simultaneously.
Q. Does Tello support hot-swapping batteries (changing the battery while the aircraft is powered on)?
A. No. Please note that if you remove the battery while the aircraft is powered on, the footage from your most recent flight may be lost.

Q. How do I replace the propellers?
A. To replace the propellers, simply remove the old propellers with the removal tool provided in the package and replace them with the new ones.
Q. How do I tell if a propeller is clockwise (CW) or counterclockwise (CCW)? Do I need to install each propeller in a specific location?
A. Tello's propellers and motor casings have markings to distinguish between CW (clockwise) and CCW (counterclockwise). Be sure to attach CW propellers to CW motors, and CCW propellers to CCW motors correctly. CW propellers have a mark (protrusion) near the motor attachment point, and CW motors also have a mark (protrusion) on the casing. CCW propellers and CCW motors do not have any markings.
Firmware Update
Q. How do I update Tello's firmware?
A. You can update Tello's firmware through the Tello app.
Q. What should I do if the update is interrupted or fails?
A. If the update fails, reconnect Tello and the Tello app and try the update again.
Q. Can I update Tello using a computer?
A. Not at this time.

A. Tello currently supports custom remote controllers made by Gamesir or Gamevice.
Q. What programming platforms can I use with Tello?
A. Currently, Tello only supports programming with Scratch, but we plan to support more programming platforms in the future.
