A new product has been released for the Hoodman Landing Pad, which is considered the industry standard for landing pads for drone takeoff and landing.
The new LP21 Pad is a weighted, tri-fold drone landing pad designed for prosumers with small drones that can be easily deployed by simply throwing it and going.
Reversible design for day/night use, with two colors on the front and back
It is reversible, with a fluorescent orange side for daytime flying and a fluorescent green side for night flying.
Like previous landing pad designs, a compass symbol is printed on each side, allowing drone pilots to quickly reference their bearings.
Folds into three and can be stored at 1/6 of its original size
We developed a unique, patent-pending design that sandwiches six triangular plastic inserts between two sturdy vinyl exteriors.
This unique tri-fold pad is 21 inches (approximately 53cm in diameter) and can be folded three times to fit into 1/6 of its original size. It looks like a pizza!
It also comes with a rubber strap for storage.

Weighted to withstand the wind pressure of a drone
It inherits one of the features of the Hoodman Landing Pad, which is that it does not require any fixing devices such as pegs.
The sturdy vinyl exterior is sandwiched between six triangular plastic inserts to prevent the pad from blowing away.
Shipments are scheduled to begin in early July 2023
The Hoodman LP21 Weighted Tri-Fold Landing Pad will be available for pre-order starting June 22nd, with shipments expected to begin in early July.
